CWR is an artist, harpist, and writer based in Chicago, IL. Using mostly found materials, CW creates work in 2D and 3D based on experiences in religion, the collective unconscious, and dreams. This work ranges from performative sculpture housed in suitcases, to forced/warped perspectives of model houses, to abstract drawings that use surrealist and spiritualist techniques in oil pastel, ink, chalk, and dead rollerball cartridges. Other work includes original compositions for the harp, and poetry centered around the creation of new words not available in the English language. This poem, which was represented in her BFA sculptural thesis, has been submitted to the Department of Ecclesiastical Vocabulary at the Vatican and is included in an ongoing project, THE NEO ANGLO PHONIC DICTIONARY. CW is also a Goldman-Sachs Scholar (nominated by William O’Brien) and has had their work exhibited in the Museum of Surgical Science, The Ballroom Projects, and The Sullivan Galleries.
